patriots got owned by the broncos this year, the stealers or indy would have owned them too. I'm sure either team would "rather be playing the pats"

ehh football teams are much different beasts than basketball teams. that being said yes.
but with a team like the lakers you keep phil, the same 5 guys and you pretty much have the same team.
not the same with a team like the pats, where a head coach loses all of his good assistants every year, and key position players, not to mention injuries, and the importance of schedual strength.
basketball seasons are so long that the best teams always come out on top.
with football any one play can change a teams fate.
the cowboys make 2 30 yd fields goals in a couple of games and they are in the playoffs, it's much harder for football teams to have a dynasty than a basketball team.

I'll reitterate. The only thing the Patriots got owned by was unsuccesful refereeing and their own selves. The Broncos went on to get stomped. Statistically the Patriots are on of the best teams ever on the road and as history knows, the Steelers are horrible against the Patriots. The Patriots have the best receivers, an excellent QB..a great running game (not so much this year). To say that they're not good is truly ignorant and they could have made it to the superbowl if everything had fallen into place.

By your standards, certainly not record because the Patriots had a better one than the Steelers..So explain yourself because you're looking ignorant right now. You do realize that if the Patriots had beat Denver, they would have had home field advantage against the Steelers and probably had raped them up the ass, right? Do you watch football man lol? You say I come off as ignorant? How? Record doesn't always make you a good team, the Patriots wouldn't have done nearly as well if they wouldn't have been in the easiest division in football.
