It is just how you sting the wires into the connector. Do a google search for the diagram.

If you don't have the RJ45 connectors and a clamp tool, i would just buy a new cable. But on the other hand, for about the same price, you can buy the crimper and connectors and get the cable at $.15 a foot.

A good diagram http//www.incentre.net/incentre/frame/ethernet.html

You need a specific crimp tool. Then just strip the wire, seperate the indiviual wires and insert them into the connector in the certain color order.

You don't need to remove any wires, it is just what order they go into the connector. There are 8 individual wires inside that need to be in certian order.

''[/quotedb2db1bc0d]You can't use your old connector because it needs to crimp down on the wires tightly, and you won't be able to shove the wires back in again.

If you want to rig something, just cut the cable you got in half and splice it. That way, you won't need to put on a new connector (which you're not equipped to do anyway). All you need is scissors and some tape.

All you have to do is google "how to make crossover cable"... If you want to rig it like I said, you just need to swap the orange with the green (both solid and striped). Don't cut the other wires.

I wish a mod would make a sticky telling people to fucking google. Please?

from the looks of things you're really gonna "stick it to the man"
by skipping paying 10 bucks for a cable and trying to make the cable yourself roll
