So some of my friends were talking today about how their bands prefer Garage Band to record their music and put it on myspace and such. I guess it's a good program? I'm interested in working with someone on working this program. I tried googling it for tutorials and couldn't find anything. I'm wondering if this is good for recording my band? Whatever help is great.

ive played around with it before, its very powerful...the only problem is that i have no musical talent, so i couldnt exactly mix up a good song or anything...

I agree. It's a pretty good program, but it's very time consuming, although it a bit fun, to create your own songs, at least if you are using only the loops that come with the program.

I'm not sure. I looked for some premade songs to mess around with, but I couldn't manage to find any.

Garageband is a simple yet powerful program. I'd say it's good for starters. If you go pro, you might want to try Cubase SX or Cakewalk.
