It's not really any heavier than some of the bling people sport these days. shrug
Anyway, the nano lanyards should work with the 5G iPods, but don't hold me to that.
I'm not sure they make any for the 5G iPods.

I can sell you my custom made one for the nano if I can find it, do a search on this forum and you can find it. It would work with the 5g.

You can get neck straps that attach to the tabs on some of the silicone cases (ebay, and eventually the crazy web search page that these guys will put up) . In any case, you're not going to want to strap it by the dock connector.
If you're a girl, it'll look ok, but if you're a guy, it's going to look really stupid unless you really want that flavor flav look.
