I'm thinking back on all the TV shows I used to watch as a kid-teenager in the 80-90's
that are now all coming out as seasons on DVD.
Among my favorites were [b09b35da0be]Quantum Leap[/b09b35da0be][/color09b35da0be], [b09b35da0be]MacGyver[/b09b35da0be][/color09b35da0be],
[b09b35da0be]Star Trek The Next Generation[/b09b35da0be][/color09b35da0be], and [b09b35da0be]The Incredible Hulk[/b09b35da0be][/color09b35da0be].
Then of course there were sitcoms like Seinfeld, Saved by the Bell, and Fresh Prince.

yeah I still watch it sometimes at 2am in the morning.

I remember staying up untill 4am once getting caught in a 3 parter!!!

we thought it was only a 2 parter, so we stayed up for the second one, only to be wrangled in for the last hour

quantum leap, forgot i even watched that show, then it comes on here one day at 3 am on some weird channel, and i ended up knowing all of the episodes, then realized i grew up watchin it.

yeah it's trying to show someone a movie from 12 yrs ago and getting them to enjoy it without complaining about the special effects.

but thats how they were then, when you watched it, they were amazing. Looking back at it, you can kinda laugh it off. You still enjoy the movie though.

To someone who grew up after Jurrrassic Park though, they've come to expect that as the benchmark in all movies special effects.

actually i just saw saved by the bell in your post. I used to watch the hell out of that show.

I swear it was marketed towards 5th graders and not high schoolers.

i forgot about the x-files. i have a couple of those box sets aroun dhere somewhere. i was like 6 when jurassic park came out. it was so cool then! but now it kind of sucks.

I'll vote for star trek next gen and ds9, family matters, and buffy and saved by the bell. for the 90s (mostly)

80s would have to be teenage mutant ninja turtles, who's the boss, full house the early years

i forgot about wonder years. it used to come on at night. saved by the bell came on at like 630am before school. i can still sing the family matters theme word for word.

The poll is just on the showes I liked...the whole thread is devoted to discussing whatever you liked. These were the shows i grew up on with limited cable access. Nevertheless I got a kick out of them. roll

PS. X-Files was pretty good but just not on the top of my list when i made the thread. Some great shows though.

i'd say the A-Team and then Star Trek Next generation.

i had like every episode of TNG memorized by the time i was like 7...god i was an anoying little bastard

but it's ok cuz i've grown out of my geek phase now! 8) lol

o hell yea, knight rider was classic. me and scud got some heavy interests im findn out. it reminds i wanted an old firebird like kit for sooo long, wonder what people say if i redid one and drove it around.

Looks like MacGyver is in the lead...not by much though...Quantum Leap is a close second. Next Gen has some votes and Hulk is in dead last with zero...lol.
