I don't think the producers would have put that scene in unless they were doing a parody on another movie.
That whole episode was weak, IMHO.
The whole beating thing was dragged out far longer than necessary.

ummm... almost every family guy is a parody of something or many things, that's what makes it so great.. besides Peter. I'm not sure what you're talking about though, de niro has been in like 70+ films and besides meet the fockers, analyze that, and the godfathers, I can't think of that many.

Agreed, the family guy episdoe was not as funny as many other ones i've seen.
