How much do you think the fine would be for being caught shoplifting a drink worth $1.50?

Just pay for it, but that would be a very small fine. You would probably be banned from the store and that's it.

The bail would probably be set at about $350,000 with a $1,000 fine per week for 104 concurrent weeks.

Im banned from the store for a year, and i plan on paying it, but my question is how much do you think it will be? oh and im a minor

P.S I've known people that have been caught stealing. They were charged $250 and because they were also minors, they gave them hours of community service. But that's here in California, not sure where you're from.

Newsflash Stealing something worth $0.50 and stealing something worth $50 is the exact same crime....

Long ago I was caught stealing [clothes]. I had about 3 layers of stolen clothes on, and a bag half full of stolen clothes and half full of items I'd actually purchased. I was about to walk out of the mall and BAM greed turned me right back around. So I go back into the store to steal this one last outfit...walk out thinking I got away scott-free...but alas, security apprehended me as I went down the escalator (

They didn't know I had all the stuff I did, they only knew about the last thing I went for, but I ended up having to give it all back...AND they tried to act like the stuff I bought was stolen because I tossed the receipt(s). Anyway, they (Kaufmann's) banned me from the mall (Carousel Mall, Syracuse, NY) for 1 year...needless to say I got a job not only in the mall, but at their competitor (JC Penny) later that month.

I've since changed my ways.

Heh, going through that type of curiosity and paranoia just for stealing a drink for $1.50. You should've just had someone pay for it legitmately and you wouldn't have to go through the trouble. It would've been much simpler.

I stole some shit from abercrombie once on senior skip day, a couple pairs of shorts and shit, we thought we were all badass. I think we did it one more time that summer and that was it, we got away.

I knew some girls at my high school that got in serious trouble stealing makeup from walmart. Had to get a parole officer, couldn't be in cheer anymore, and paid over $2000 in fines.
