Bluetooth Cell Phone - iBook

Basically I need my pictures from my phone to put on my myspace and whatnot. Is Bluetooth only file sharing or also pictures? Just curious, thanks.

you need a program that works with your phone, the isync thing works for some phones but not all

Pictures = files. I transfer pics and vids from my phone (Moto e815) to my PC via Bluetooth.

Edit Unless macs suck even worse than I thought, turpentine is incorrect. You just need Bluetooth set up properly...

Samsung A950..I can get all the wireless stuff setup but the iBook tells me my cell should be asking for a pin number that the iBook randomly generates..I never get the message on my phone soo..

Hmm.. I'm not sure about the A950, but on mine I just go to Bluetooth settings and enable "FindMe." Then tell my PC to search for Bluetooth devices and it found my phone.

Edit Oh yeah I almost forgot - I had to hack my phone to enable OBEX. Do you by any chance have Verizon? They like to cripple as many abilities on their phones as they can, so that they can offer those abilities as services which you have to pay for. I had to do the seem edits on my phone also. I tell you though, there is nothing better than connecting my ibook to the internet at 400k through my e815 from anywhere! (for free - i think heh) It is supposed to charge you only minutes used, since you aren't "supposed" to be able to do it. (ie verizon disabled Dialup networking on the phones they buy). I think that since I pay $10/month for unlimited vcast/mobile web that it won't even use my minutes.

Regardless of what phone you have check out howardforums. I'm sure there is something cool you can do with your phone that you didn't know. These people know more about the phones than any rep in a store. You should probally browse the subforum of your provider, and see what you can dig up.

i had to edit this because I misread your comment, I thought you were talking about a cable modem vs. DUN through bluetooth on a cell. I wondered why anyone would make such a silly comment. But it appear I am the one that was silly.

A USB connection would be faster.
