I was browsing the Inc. 500 list and I looked at Gratis' profile.

okay, first of all, this is old. Second of all, to the stupid fucks who keep saying this, revenue and profit are not the same thing. You can have a 40 bil. revenue and still be losing 20 bil. While this is prob not the case, whoever said that is stupid. Third of all, whatever the profit is, I am sure it is not spread evenly amongst the employees. I am sure the upper management does well, but the people who probably approve our account get paid crap.

Don't know all this for sure, all speculation based on logic.

It's actually only Jake who works for Freepay. His name is Jake Gratice, called the company Gratis but didn't want it to be associated with his name so changed it to Freepay.

The reason he works alone is because of his inabilty to talk and can only communicate through computers.

I believe the only person who really understands him is Chuck Norris.

I'm sure all employees do pretty well...especially CEO and the other brass.

Well, they've shipped out over $12 million in gifts, but that's since 2001, so even if that $12 mil was all shipped in 2004 their profit would still be close to $8 million, minus other expenses.

there are more costs then simply the gifts.

Not really. No matter who you work for if your just doing dataentry or fraud checking your not getting paid the millions they make. Just because microsoft makes a gazillion dollars and you work there you might get paid a bit more for doing your there then doing that same job somewhere else but you won't see much of that gazillion.

Personally I have no idea of what their jobs are but I'm sure all of them didn't found the company so they are just employees.

I'm sure most of the money is going to the investors who put the money into this. They're probably doing pretty well, but it's the guy who fronted the initial $100,000 to get the site(s) rolling that's laughing his rich ass off.
