What is the best (fastest) bittorrent client? I have been using Bit Comet, but I have a cable connection and a 21 uploaddownload ratio and the download speeds Im getting are no where near potential. Is there anything out there better?

I use BitLord, which is basically the same thing as BitComet.

I'm actually using Azureus at the moment, but I used to use Bit Tornado, and the standard Bittorent client.
Azureus is fast, but the auto-allocation is annoying.

I used to use Azureus, but it took up 70mb of mem. uTorrent has the same funtionality (also the same look) but takes up less than 1mb.

Why would I do that? That requires work.

utorrent doesn't have as many features compared to other clients..I use bitcomet but I just recently found out that some trackers ban bitcomet so I'm thinkin of switching..maybe give bitlord a shot

i use azureus but it is kinda a page file hog. looks spiffy though and i usually don't d/l when i'm doing anything else that's memory intensive so it works for me

I've never had any problems with BitLord, goes nice and fast for me.

[code165cc098001]/usr/bin/python /usr/local/bin/bittorrent/btdownloadcurses.py --minport 1024 --maxport 65000[/code165cc098001]
Works excellent in
screen[=http//www.gnu.org/software/screen/screen.html]screen. I can start up torrents anywhere via ssh.
I still use 3.4.2. The newest builds for some reason SUCK. Checking a 1 GB file will take hours on the latest version but 3.4.2 it'll be done in seconds. Eats 0 memory or CPU either.
