They must have a physical location in your state now

Newegg has always had a warehouse in NJ. Love it because stuff usually gets to me next day, but I pay $0 tax )

UM..........I'm pretty sure there's an easy way around this. Give someone out of state some paypal (314), and just don't use the same shipping into as the CC they use. Not sure if the tax is for the state its ordered in, or shipped to...if it's ordered in, then do it.

gogo monarchcomputer.com it owns newegg pricewise and no taxes to anywhere but GA and pretty fast/cheap shipping. i know i take my comp business elsewhere. and why settle for a 7800 when you can get the sexy new ati 1900xt which basically blows the 7800gtx out of the water?

Spending $500 on a video card seems silly...

Actually, it's up to the business if they want to collect tax or not. Even if they don't have a physical location in your state, they can decide or not to charge taxes. Several online sites that have no location here in Utah charge the 6.6% tax for online orders. But some places like Amazon.com still don't. I'll have to see if newegg charges next time I order from them.
