Yeah I didn't read that right. I glanced at your comment and posted. oops So I kind of went along with it for another post. )

Anyway, once I get my last ref on Freepay's Premium iPods and I get the 60GB iPod Video, I'm gonna sell it on eBay and I'm gonna use that money towards new gear.

D

I'll wait for the sales after this season or something so I can get the best deal for my money.

learn to leaf toe than to leaf heel. then learn to actually snowboard. o and 1st day of learning can be quite an experience.

dont start on those flat ass beginner runs... get on a decent green run.. when its flat it messes u up more.. just like riding a bike.. the faster you go the more balance

I agree go on intermediate runs just stay to the sides so you don't get run over. Go toe edge turn go straight for a sec, go heel edge, go back and forth and get used to the feeling. You'll learn how to carve really fast...

heal edge is when u are on the edge your heels are at

toe edge is when u are on the edge your toes are at..

leafing is =where u ae on your edge and you just slowly go back and forth down the mountain

dont feel dumb...

I remember when i was first learning

there is so much hate twoards snowboarding.. yet you still wanna get back out and do it again

Wolfeman

24-01-2006 14:25:33

You'll see people on the bunny slopes doing it. You are basically making big Ss as you go down the mountain. Bunny hill blow because their are too many people that have no idea what they are doing and they end up getting in the way...

lol

Yeah, I remember when I was learning. I thought it wasn't worth going back. After a while I became intermediate... And after my last time I was up, I am going down blacks and stuff. I still hate moguls. I can kind of do them though.

And after that toe edge heal edge method thing, try to carve on a nice easy green. What you do is you force the back of your body and your back leg to fishtail kind of and you jump back and forth a little and make your back edges scrape against the snow. Kind of hard to explain. ;)

And.....

I weigh 155 lbs and I already have good boots that are Men's 9's. And don't you need to know my height to know the size of my board? I'm 6' if you need to know. My riding is basically going down the mountain everywhere. I want to get into starting some jumps and stuff but I don't really want to grind my new board against rails.

So basically just going down the mountain anywhere and maybe doing some occasional jumps in the terrain parks, and limaybeli some rails.

aguy

24-01-2006 16:43:59

go with a 158 rome agent...

... very strong for rails... but stiff enough to take big jumps and backcountry powder

i use t think height ha to do alot to do with it... but if u think about it.. ur board cant tell how tall u are.. only how much u weigh...

im 6'2" 235 and i ride a 157.. its good for me becuase i ride park and need to spin fast

for you a 158 would be good becuase it will float in powder and what not
