Okay, so who the hell puts a button to turn off your wireless connection on the laptop? Why in the hell would I want to turn off my wireless connection, and if I did, I could just disable it on the computer.
Is there any way to disable this very poorly placed button? I keep turning off my internet on accident and it's getting quite old.

Erm i actually use that button. My HP ZV6100 has it and its quite useful. Its there so when your not using Wi-Fi you can save battery life, especially since the Acer has such a lowly rated battery.

uh, don't press the button? my dell has a key combo for disabling/enabling it and i love it. turn it off to save battery or if you're somewhere you shouldn't be using wifi (airplane, medical building/hopital, etc)

mines literally in the front of it, so you can press it even when it is closed. i'd take a picture but have no way to transfer from cam/cpu atm

Its in front, but not really that easy to hit. what are you sitting the laptop against your body?
And why would you want to turn off wireless? To preserve battery when not in use..?

when wireless is on my ibook gets 4 hours of use if i am using it.
if its off it easily gets 6 hours.
pop the key off, put a piece of plastic inside where the button was supposed to be (make sure it firmly fits).. then fill with caulking.. spray/paint to desired color and there you go.. lol

you could just bind the key to do something else.

Or close the program that actually monitors and acts on the keypresses
