Anyone care to proofread/give suggestions to my UT Austin/UMCP essay?

Essay Prompt Many students expand their view of the world during their time in college. Such growth often results from encounters between students who have lived different cultural, economic, or academic experiences. With your future growth in mind, describe a potential classmate that you believe you could learn from either within or outside a formal classroom environment.

Thanks!

Tight, you are going to apply to UT@A. I am going to try to get in there next year too. Have a couple of friends up there.

It's a state school, you usually don't have to try unless you're a complete moron.

UT Austin is a good school.

So judging by your comment tyler, people who don't get into UCLA/Berkeley are complete morons?

Publics are just like privates. There are schools that are easy to get into, and ones that are hard for anybody.

i will agree with gigante on that one.

ut austin is a good school, but it isn't for me. most of the schools i am applying to are private with a couple of safety publics.

I never said they weren't good schools, I'm just saying, in general, that state schools are not as hard to get into. There are exceptions, like UC Berkley, but there are exceptions to everything.

In general private's aren't hard to get into either. There are elite schools in both categories.
