or maybe these 5.1 speakers? i dunno if its compatible with my crap sound card, and i don't think i have enough room, but the watts and stuff seem the same, btu 2 more speakers..any pros out there can shed some light for me?

If it's mostly for music, Z-3e (best sound quality of the three). If you want surround for movies and games, x-530. Don't waste time with the x-230.

x-230 = throwaway speakers

i haven't seen any official reviews on any of these? does anyone know where to get one? actually i heard the x-230 were really good for their price, and i'm not too much of a sound whore P but if z3e come at the same price then sure why not?

Geez, did you read my post? Why do I even bother...

I have had the Z-3e speakers for a year now & they rule. I listen to music on them atleast 3 hours a day & they sound fantastic.

z-3e if you're just music listening. combine with an audigy 2 zs if you're on a budget or an x-fi xtrememusic if you got the cash and you'll have some really good sound. not much point going for 5.1 unless you watch movies or play games cause music doesn't take advantage of surround sound enough for it to be worth the extra hassle

Lol I just bought the x-230s today at best buy for $55. I haven't opened them yet so I guess I'll return them if they're that bad. I was gonna get the z4s i saw there, but they were out of stock
