i am against useless killing or torture. i hook a fish because i am going to eat it. i do not hook a dog because there is not a reason to. i have no use in a dead dog. if i need to catch a dog i will call the pound.
i do not have sympathy for the fish just like i do not have sympathy for a human jumping into the amazon and getting eaten by parahnas (sp?). if i want to eat fish, i will catch one. fortunately for us, the parahnas (sp?) are limited on what they can do to eat whatever they want.
