Just got in from getting my tattoo finished )

Here is the tattoo a few days after I got it about 2 years ago now

(it is black ink only, the redness is irritation...and the "shine" is actually the reflection of the flash off the Bacitracin Ointment ;) )

Today I got ISAIAH 4031 added to the scroll, and had him touch up a few of the lines that were fading some. I'll post pictures once its done healing a bit!

My tattoo is a local artist's best shot at that, but a little larger, and with no "RTW" on the chest (the original tattoo was a memorial piece).

Oh, and mine has better hands )

That looks awesome... its good to see it when people get tattoos that stand for something, not just to get a tattoo just to get one (if you know what I mean).. D

I know exactly what you mean. I actually came across this about a year before I got it...and wanted it...but gave it some time and looked at some other things before I decided to get it. In fact, I wasn't absolutely certain what script I wanted when I got it...which is why it remained blank for about 2 years. Turns out I ended up getting what I was going to in the first place...but I'm glad I took my time choosing and didn't just get some tribal garbage....and so is my mom )

I didn't get the whole thing for free, just the touch-up and addition of the script today. As far as size...picture an average sized napkin...its about that size (the only reason I know that is because I just had it covered with a paper towel folded in fours ;) )

Wow that's really cool, I might be thinking of getting a tattoo as well but I don't know of what to get it of. Need to find a cool graphic and put something going around it in circles a saying of some sort.. something meaningful.

I think getting it finished yesterday may have hurt more than getting the majority of it done before....probably because the letters are blacked in (as opposed to just lines). Shading kind of tickles, though. On a scale of 1-10....its probably something like a 1-2...nothing more than annoying really.

Here is pics of my tattoo. I also have a small one on the bottom of my neck that is a sunset.

I designed this myself, and then the tattoo guy changed it a little to fit better. It took 3 sittings and over 8 hours total to complete.

It can be covered up with a tshirt with longer sleeves. But, i am actually considering a full sleeve on my fore-arm.

As excited as I am, I thought it'd be better not to make a new thread. D

I GOT MY FIRST TATTOO YESTERDAY!!! I've wanted one for just about 5 years and I finally got one. I went with my friend to her tat apt yesterday (her third), and my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to finally get my first one. 8)

I've read a lot about what people here think of tattoos (good and BAD), and if you don't like them that's just fine with me.
