Anyone else disgusted with their scores? I'm in the 90th percentile and it really pisses me off. I guess I should have studied or taken a course to prepare for it.. I was really looking forward to the college money that National Merit gives, and then they fuck me over.
What percentile did you guys get? How you feelin about it?

i cant remember what percentile i got on my psat, but i made the cut for the first national merit scholarship thing, the semi finals i think or its equivalent. didnt make the final cut, but got awarded national merit letter of commendation. it was a big thing in my high school, im not sure how much it did or did not affect my college applications though

72percentile... I need to work on writing skills and reading... I just dont pay attention when I get to those sections.... math is kick ass for me (calculus biatch)

there are so many national merit scholars and semifinalists in my school its rediculous... look it up, St Thomas in Ft Lauderdale FL.... horrible I tell you... half my friends are finalists...

when i took it i was a junior/16, and i got 80th% for english and 95% for math. i'm quite happy with the math, but i'm not sure what it'll do for me as far as money toward college. we'll see though lol ....

80th and 95th shouldnt get you anything.
what was your OVERALL percentile.

I don't know if it was your intention or not but the vibe I got from this thread was "tell me how great I did on my test". Anyways, I skipped the PSATs, I was a very lazy high schooler.

wow really? my school was very small, only 30 in my graduating class. i was the only one who got national merit anything, but then again with the small size it makes sense.

90th percentile blows. You want to be between 95th and 99th to mean much of anything. If you don't, you won't get ANY recognition for it.

Well there's not just "English" and "Math", there's Reading, Writing, and Math.
On the current one, atleast. And they don't calculate your percentile like that.. because it's curved. You can get an 85, 90, and 87, and end up in the 93rd percentile.

My lips are naturally that color, and he implied I was wearing lipstick.
Therfor, since he is naturally black, I implied he had mud on his body, darkening it, as lipstick affects the color of lips.
