What an incredible movie. So nasty, so crazy, so unbelievably suspenseful.
My eyes watered at parts - Not out of sadness, but out of pure horror.

any movie where they have to have paramedics standing by at the pre-screening to help people in case something happens to them has got to be a powerful movie. i want to see it, but i'm not into the horror movie thing so i prob won't.
did u like it? will you see it again?
I heard it was over done. Suspenseful, a touch of comedy, but over done.

I sort of liked it. It made sense in a really strange way. It seriously freaked me out though I almost had trouble sleeping the first night back because of the graphic images so I took maximum nyquill to get drowsy.
And yes it was over done a little, but not totally.

lol. I dunno exactly what happened...my friend was just telling me about it. I'm sure it was just for show...but it wouldn't suprise me if it wasn't.
Nate had to take nyquill....imagine what someone with a weak stomach or gets wicked scared.....

07-01-2006 19:48:26
I don't have a weak stomach crazyates...
But I usually am a wimp for REALLY scary movies. This movie didn't kill me but I felt a few jolts through my body during the extreme torture scenes.

i wasn't saying YOU have a weak stomach...i was actually going on the opposite assumption.
if you had to take nyquill and it freaked you out in some scenes...imagine what it would do to someone who DID have a weak stomach. that'd be scary.

yeah I read it was surprisingly good
it has a fresh rating on tomatoes
my dallas morning news said the director has been getting support from tarentino also. He likes Eli Roth so much, that he tagged his name to the movie(produced by QT)
anyways cabin fever wasnt good, but they said this is drasticly better than that.
ill check it out on hbo or video or something

Lost In Translation was the shit. Although that seems to be the kind of film where you either love it or hate it.

Welll... we are only a week into 2006, so that really isn't saying much.
I just got back from seeing this. Lots of tits and sex, so that is always good.
The movie is incredibly fucked up, and incredibly violent, but it's Tarantino, what do you expect? Take Saw and Saw II times 10, and you have the violence level of this movie.

yeah i hated both of those movies....the plots were ok, i guess....but it was way too drawn out and for me that made it boring......also lost in translation didn't make too much sense to me.....that one was easily forgettable.....

i know that now....but i was just wondering why it says that he directed it in the previews.....is it because tarantino might attract more people to the theater???....thats all i can think of....

This movie was gross. The beginning was Sex, Sex, Sex, and more Sex. They took drugs and looked through the red light district. The movie was really boring until the halfway point. The movie didn't scare me at all, because what happened, could never happen, being as that I will never hire a prostitute. It was disturbing, I will give it that. It just wasn't what is what hyped up to be.

These guys are in Europe travelling all over and eventually go to Slovakia because this guy tells them they can do anything for a price and they will love them because they are Americans. They meet some girls and hang out with them, then one of their friends disappears. Then another, then the last one ends up going to the torture house (where you pay to torture people), but manages to escape.
That's a basic overview.

Honestly I would not be surprised at all if places like this did exist in the world. Nothing shocks me anymore. Anything and everything can happen in this age.
