EatChex89

28-12-2005 22:04:53

my phone number is still processing...

what you do is select your country number, then area code (i selected 800.. you can select any,..) then 3-number extension, and then they assign you the last 4 digits..

im still processing and my number isn't activated yet.. i do however have a 1-818 number from them that i don't pay anything for, and get unlimited incoming and 100 outgoing minutes..

I don't think that would be a problem for me. I was looking at this for a possible phone number for our business, and it would need voicemail obviously since we're not there 24/7 to pick up the phone. The usage would probably not be over 100 mins/month.

then this is for you!

yea.. you can either call like li86 to pick up voicemail, or just download it from your inbox, because they e-mail the voicemail messages to your inbox (which I find is very handy).

Only with Linksys, choose the Telepacket software option.

Chex, I asked my earlier question because once I chose a state, I didn't get get number choices in the drop-down. It was disabled. Trying other states, I got some local area codes, but no toll free ones.

Can you explain how you got there?

Ok the site is working now, but I'm encountering the same problem as mentioned above. When I choose the state, it gives me local cities and then for every one of those it has a local area code number, not a 1-800... Did you choose yours from elsewhere than the rest of us? See the screenshot

[img222341b578]http/" alt=""/img259.imageshack.us/img="259/4595/telepacket5mn.th.jpg[" alt=""/img222341b578][=http//img="259.imageshack.us/my.php?image=telepacket5mn.jpg][img222341b578]http/" alt=""/img259.imageshack.us/img="259/4595/telepacket5mn.th.jpg[" alt=""/img222341b578]

And if you got the 1-800 from Cali, what city did you pick?

EatChex89

09-01-2006 16:39:01

I actually signed up from inside their little TelePacket Voice Engine. so what you can do is sign up for a number, then re-sign up in the TelePacket Voice Engine (it's their control panel when yous ign in) then Add a plan

I'm still able to pick 1-800..
