Setting Up PayPal?

I'm new to PayPal and want to put my debit card onto it. Anyone willing to explain the process of doing it? My parents are really skpetical and I am too after seeing all the horror stories. KMA+ for helping me, thanks. Also, can a debit card be put on it? I read the one part of the plan that cannot have a debit, but can the other plans?

You can put your debit card on it.

You can link a bank/checking account to the free paypal account. Just follow the steps to add a banking account to paypal. You then have to wait a few days to check the deposits that paypal makes into your bank account. Then, just tell paypal the amounts of the two deposits and your account will be verified. You can also use a credit card if you want....
The process is pretty easy. Just sign up, once you're in "My Account" look at the left pannel, click "Add Funds." It'll ask if you're adding a checking account, debit/credit card. Follow the steps that go with your selection and your method of funds should be added. They also ask you to verify your card which places a dollar hold on your card. Easy!

You can put your Debit Card if you wish & you can also put your Credit Card to make your account Premier or Business (To accept credit card payment)
Paypal will NEVER take money from those accounts (NOT EVEN if you scam someone, the law doesn't allow then to do it that, so they will never do it) you are 100% protected
I recommend you to put your debit/Credit card and Social Security # to earn money back each month (the alst day of the month paypal will giv eyou a % of the current balance on your account)

Are you allowed to have multiple paypal accounts linked to the same bank account? I want a personal and a premier.

You can have MULTIPLE accounts BUT each account with it's own Credit card and address (But I don't know about the bank, you may need a different one)

Depends, if you want to receive credit card payments then premier - if you are going to use it to send money then Personal is perfect

Funny thing is that I had a personal account and I was receiving payments from Checking accounts/Credit Cards/Debit Cards. The only reason WHY they made me upgrade is because I was accepting too many payments in a short amount of time. I had no idea what the hell was going on, so I upgraded anyway. Still don't really know what happened.

Ok, I signed up, now what do I do. My credit card is sent in and whatnot, is it supposed to show whats in my debit account already? Am I ready to start receiving money and sending out?

Did you add a bank account?
They will make 2 small payments to your bank account I believe and then when you get those two payments, you have to go to the site and enter how much they were, and then they confirm your account.
