Mythbusters (pcs.freepay)

I want to clear a few things up about it before I go for it.

I heard rumors that it takes a month to ship because it's hand made when we order. Is that true? Freepay usually takes 2-3 days to ship from what I've heard, and wouldn't want to waste a month.

Also, I heard the Compaq Presario no longer costs 600 dollars, and doesn't need a W9 tax form. Is this true?

Finally, the Gateway and HP computers suck, right? They don't look like anything special.. no point in getting them, right?

My Cyberpower shipped pretty quickly. It's meant to take 2 weeks to build it, but mine took about 2 weeks between approved and received I think.

Do you think I'd have any luck with it? My little brother needs a PC to play Black+White II on.

1 day approval and a couple of days to ship my Gateway. K thnx.

The Cyberpower might take longer, as it's technically a built-to-order config, but I think the others are out of the box pre-configged.

As for price, most of these machines were less than $600 last I heard.

As for a choice, I'd get the Cyberpower for the specs, but the laptops may be a better bet, because portability is worth the tradeoff for many.

I don't want to file taxes on the machine though. I know the Compaq laptop costs less than 600, but it used to be 600 and used to require W9.

The earlier Compaq was cheaper, but the upgrade may have topped that. I'd have a hard time believeing it's topping it now.

I got my compaq presario laptop this month and they made me fill out the tax form and stuff, after that it was shipped within the week though so it was pretty fast

also I'll point out that on pcs.freepay the stats for the compaq presario say it comes with an intel celeron processor, though mine actually came with an amd sempron, which i like better anyway
