American Pie: Band Camp?

I liked the first three but haven't seen this new straight-to-dvd. straight-to-dvd movies usually suck and i am not sure about this one. have any of you seen it?

Arielle Kebbel is very Alba-esque in this movie....young alba of course....and younger Stifler is dead on, great casting...

i decided to get the xvid to try it out. if it is good enough i will get the dvdr. not sure if its worth the $0.20 dvd P

i watched it yesterday as soon as it hit the underground. it was a bit funny, but nowhere near the fun level of the other pies. lots more nudity though.

About 10 mins in and I don't think I can watch the whole thing. They use the same music and its just awful...

I hate the series, and won't see this movie, but I especially don't like what the whole thing has done to the perception of "band camp". I was in a celebrated marching band all throughout HS and nothing like that would ever happen. Only extremely wealthy schools with affluent students can afford to actually send members away to a "camp". 98% of the time band camp is just 2-3 weeks at home of long grueling days in your high school parking lot.

Yeah, that's what our band does.

They take it way too seriously and many consider it a sport.

Now, it's hard work and I respect the work you guys do because I was in band in middle school, but marching band is NOT a sport.

moderate marching is considered exercise i read that somewhere ppl consider it a sport but i think it isnt

anyways i rate this movie 2.5/5

ok i just got around to watching it and i thought it was very funny. not as good as the others but whatever. i give it a 3.3/5

thankfully that the great link that shamash provided was the spanish version of it, there was just stupid jokes played, and barely any nudity. -7/10

When I was in high school, I consistently lost between 10 and 20 pounds every Thanksgiving. Even with all the turkey, stuffing, and pie. That was a little while after the marching band season ended. I played drums, by the way.

I see no reason why it couldn't be considered a sport. It's done competitively, there are rules, and it's clearly physical activity or I wouldn't have been losing so much muscle every year after the season ended.

Just because the only time you've ever seen a marching band was at a football game doesn't mean that's the only time they perform. My band (or at least my drum line) always treated the football games as just another practice. Marching bands compete and are judged similar to how gymnasts or figure skaters are. Or are those not sports either?

Only band people think band is a sport. No gymnastics and figure skating are competitions but not sports. You don't see people arguing if football is a sport...

You are taking a literal translation of a word. Doing that you can argue almost anything is a sport. Poker is a sport if you make them fit in the parameters of the dictionary definition.

So is there a rated and an unrated versions of this? The one I saw I only say like half a tit the whole movie. It almost seemed liked I got the PG-13 rated one. Nothing beats the nurse/police scene in the last one!! That was great.

Huh? I guess the version I download was the crap one. The one I d/led barely had any nudity except for the robot in the bathroom scene.

At least in my high school, marching band was just as much of a sport as the football team we supported. We won more than them, too ;)
