What do you guys listen to as "chill" music? Basically, something thats calming, usually intstrumental (imo) and can be played in the background.

Edit I like listening to portishead but theres not much else i can think of

A little Badly Drawn Boy and my g/f got me listening to a band called The Shore, I also find listening to reggae music peaceful when played at low volume (Matisyahu is good shit).

Well he asked for music that I listen to to chill, and Tool is pretty mellow compared to other rock bands. It's pretty easy listening. I just bought Lateralus today w/ Xmas $$ wink and listening to it right now. First cd I've bought in a LONG while.

Please, be quiet, I probably know more about Pink Floyd than you.

I'm a HUGE Pink Floyd fan, and if you listen to The Wall, I don't really know how that is "chill music".

I can maybe see some songs on DSOTM, and Shine on You Crazy Diamond from WYWH being songs to relax to.

I can reallllly relax to death cab.

That and some zeppelin. Stairway, going to california, thats the way.

But the ULTIMATE chill song would have to be Amber by 311. It's ridiculous how relaxed that song can make me feel.

tylerc

26-12-2005 23:05:18

I agree, Amber is awesome, and going to California.

And Popi, note I said PROBABLY.

I've never done drugs, so I wouldn't know what it's like to watch The Wall tripping, but I have heard that it's awesome (it probably makes more sense lol).

Also, I can relate to stuff in there, betrayal, isolation, anti-homework, etc.
