Funny thing about A4F

Ok, so I used to post over at A4F all the time, I was a member there from January 2005 to December 2005, when I was banned.

I was banned for posting a picture of lollercaust, which can be seen here

Anyway, I was a well-respected member there, and had +44 feedback, but was banned for posting that picture, and a picture of something saying "Nigga plz" about 2 months beforehand.

The ForYouNetwork, owned by Gatita at A4F, was put in the "Grade C Legit section". However, she has since disappeared.

It's funny, because A4F ALWAYS sides with site owners, and they were backing her up. She hasn't been on the forum for getting close to 2 weeks now, and hasn't responded to support tickets/no credit reports in a long time either.

That, and they let scammers/frauders stay on at their forums, but ban someone like me who posts pictures.

I'm glad to be at a forum where the mods/admin aren't douchebags.

yea a4f banned me too for no reason i dont know y.. But i like this forum better.. I had good trader feedback and everything.. I email the admin or a mod of the site and ask y i got banned and then they banned my IP soo i was like on wtf.. But this forum is way better to me D

clearly, they decided early on to always side with site owners. that strategy has worked for them, as they have the largest community of site owners. their forums have a lot of people, so you can't really deny that they've been successful.

The main point of my thread was to show that A4F always sides with site owners and now ANOTHER site owner (or so it seems) has taken the money and run.

That whole thing about why I got banned was background information.

In my opinion A4F sucks BALLS. I really just couldnt feel the same sense of community that i felt here. Like previously all a shady 16 year old site owner has to do is kiss up to an A4F mod and all complaint threads magically go away shock

I dislike A4F too, quite immensly. In my opinion, there's just an incredible lack of trust there.

I'm going to sound like a complete prude here, and of course you're entitled to your own opinion, so I'm not going to say that you should be banned, or that the image be removed, but honestly, that makes me sick. I personally think that ~6 million Jews being executed in the middle of the 20th century is not something that should be laughed about today. Many people would still hesitate to make a joke about 9/11, which involved the deaths in the range of four digits, not seven.

I'm not saying this because I expect my opinion to be viewed as necessarily right or to get someone banned, I'm just slightly annoyed (and I watched Rosenstrasse earlier today, so it's still fresh in my mind) at the amusement that some people find in the holocaust.

I sound like I have a stick up my ass, I'm sure, but I feel that it's not something that should be laughed about at all. The system the Nazis used in gas chambers was something of an experiment, and each time they tried to figure out how to make it go faster so that more Jews could be killed more efficiently.

That's why I don't think it's funny or appropriate.

I don't even know where to start with you. The comment was clearly offensive, and you have demonstrated a pattern of idiotic and offensive posts, and that's why you were banned. Simply to say it was in "bad taste" doesn't nearly come close to the amount of people on our staff that took offense to your post. Now let's move to your gatita issue. Try checking where the site is now....As of yesterday it was moved to not proven legit because we didn't want any more users thinking the site was legit. It has been a couple weeks, and since she hasn't been on her screenname or had any contact we moved the site down. Apparently you aren't as informed as you think you are...because she has sent out a lot of gifts, which is why she was moved to grade c proven legit.

As to juniors comment...we intentionally don't remove negative posts against site owners. We allow people to discuss to their hearts content. In fact, recently this was an issue brought up, and the threads in question were once again made visible, even though they pretty much were just bashing site owners. Come on folks, if you have a legit argument lets hear it, but don't waste people's time with this stuff.

I don't exactly see the problem with lollercaust. No, I'm not racist...but maybe I'm missing the point here...I really didn't think it was a reference to the genocide against the Jews. I took lollercaust as meaning "complete destruction by LOL" (as opposed to holocaust, which means "complete destruction by fire"). True, "caust" is the part of the word that means fire...but not everyone knows that. Notice the LOL's come and THEN they die? Just something to think about, I guess.
