I'm starting on OrderCells4Free, OrderIt4Free and OrderMore4Free and going for custom orders on each.
I'm going for some high end PC parts with a limit of $300 (8-9 refs), but do you think I could do better?

Do you need that much speed? For the past couple weeks I've been using
http//sysinfo.catherine.derheim.org as my main system (450mhz if you're too lazy to look) and it's fine for everything I do. Although I miss CS a little bit.

tsj, i have a stick of kingston hyperx pc4000 512mb ddr i need to get rid of because my motherboard can't pick it up alongside my 2x512 ocz el platinum. when it is by itself it is fine, but when its with the oczs, its not.

Consair I've heard to be a really good RAM maker.
Yeah I'd go with Admin on the processor, unless you're playing some high-end gaming you don't need that fast of a processor and save some money.
I dunno about that brand of video card, I haven't heard of them.
I'm not a fan of Seagate HDD, Western Digital and Maxtor are good ones.

I don't NEED the speed, but I'm tired of having shite, low-end parts, so I figured if I get high-end, expensive parts now, that in a few years they'd still be really good. Plus, it's only refs, so it might cost me $150 at the most, but I wouldn't pay full price for that. I'd go for something a little less ostentatious.
Oh, and that link gave me a server connection error.

I've got quite a few seagates and they've all been really good to me. I get nothing but problems with IBM and WD. Its really a crapshoot. If you ask someone experienced in the data recovery industry they're going to tell you that all brands have very similar failure rates, except IBM deskstars, which fail a little more often.

Really? hmm I'll have to take that into consideration. I have a Maxtor add-on and its been working well for me. There was a really good deal on a Seagate 200HD, I might have to give it a go.

I actually would be playing some high end games. I tried F.E.A.R and even The Chronicles Of Narnia and my computer wasn't good for either of them.

Well when I called Cyberpower about my motherboard not working, they told me to send it back for a replacement, so I did. Then the replacement they sent me didn't even work either, so I'm not even going to bother sending this one back, and just get my own reliable one. So, I'd buy the RAM from you but I really don't need it at the moment. shrug

It's really a matter of self-confirmation bias. If you have a bad experience with a seagate drive early on, you'll likely carry a bad impression of them for the rest of your life, and any time you see a seagate drive fail you'll say "there we go, i was so right to hate them". But if you really thought about it you'd realize that you see other brands fail just as often )

i am going to get 4 seagate 250's to finish my htpc because i have had nothing but problems with WD and Maxtor. i have had a WD 160 die and lose all my music. i have also had a Maxtor 200 crap out and lose the library of music i had been building up since the WD died. my current Maxtor 250 makes all kinds of racket and will surely crap out soon. There is a reason computer parts go on sale, because they are pieces of shite. took me 2 dead drives and a crappy one to realize that.

I had a simialiar board (asus A8N-SLI deluxe,) and my first one crashed after a month, and the replacement newegg sent was DOA. Thank god when they were going to send the third it was out of stock. So they just sent my money back. Now i have a DFI Lanparty MOBO.
I have the same RAM, and the +3500 chip, and love them both. Need to get another gb soon though.

Seagate are extremely quiet and Hitachi HDD are perfect
