Yea, for some reason, AIM closes out for no reason when I'm on the iBook. I downloaded the brand new mac version for the iBook yet I sign on and it says there is an error after an unannounced amount of time. Sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes 5 minutes. It's random. Anyone know?

Why not just use their iChat??

uhm, Adium uses libGaim which is the core of Gaim. So, essentially its Gaim with a Mac OS interface (Cocoa, etc).

i havent used it too much yet. but it looked sweet and after seeing that its based on gaim i just had to wave the pirate flag and toot the horn.

yea i have the buddylist with the background transparent but the buddies arent so it is integrated into the desktop.

lol, is iChat usuable with only other mac users or aim users also? I wouldn't use it if I couldn't talk with my friends from aim, because I don't have friends with macs.
