eBay Selling Tip

I'm relisting a PSP on eBay (original buyer backed out cause his son bid on it without him knowing).

There are 7 Days before Christmas Day. I want to know how I can maximize my profit.

Should I list the duration as 7, 5, 3, or 1 day?
How much should I charge for shipping?
Starting Price?
Reserve Price?

I'd make the auction quick because of Christmas.

I would set it as a 3 day listing with a buy it now option. Say that if you receive payment by a certain time, you will gaurantee delivery by the 24th if they pay for a faster shipping. I would set S/H at $25 for non-guaranteed arrival, and $45 for guaranteed delivery on the 24th

Agreed, tell them if they offer to pay for overnight shipping you will get it there.

I say 1 day with a buy it know and Express shipping

I don't think that eBay offers a 1 day auction anymore, because a week ago I tried to list one as a 1 day and it wouldn't let me...

But anyways, I think that you should do 3-day with BIN at a reasonable price, but high shipping costs...Peinecone had good numbers...I would also require immediate payment for the BIN to insure fast delivery

I'm still able to do 1 day listings. I think they may have put new requirements to do 1 day listings.

Also, I think you should make your listing end on either a sunday afternoon/night, or a thursday night. According to research, these are the days that people shop on ebay the most =] But do it fast! Christmas is coming.

Make absolutely sure with USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc. that you can actually get it there for Christmas before you tell people you can. I'd be very disappointed if I was the buyer and shipping fell through. ;x

Very True - That's just asking for negative feedback...

Don't overcharge too much for shipping and give them some nice pictures and a decent looking auction. Feel free to use anything from my auction

For this week before xmas, i don't think it matters what day it ends. It will get enough attention. But you should be listing it ASAP to get enough time to have the auction over and shipped by Thursday.

I have a couple things to list on ebay and was going to put them up today. But they aren't really good gifts, so wouldn't have much interest right now, and don't want it ending on the 25th. So i'll wait a week, then list them.

3 day, over night shipping, buy it now @ 330.00 with "free shipping" (included in price..
