I have a panasonic pv-gs31 and it is not meeting my needs. I recently bought it, thinking I got a good deal but it doesn't have the features I need. I need a camera that has at least the following

-good overall video quality most importantly

-good indoor video quality

-has super nightshot mode

-a video input area that allows you to record things on a television

-special effects features (fade in/out, mosaic, sepia, etc.)

I was looking at the Sony DCR-HC32 but heard it isn't the greatest picture quality and that there is a lot of background noise so I don't think it will work. If anyone knows of any good camcorders, please list em here. Thanks!

I'm also looking for a camcorder. Any suggestions?

Btw, I heard Sony sucks in terms of camcorder.

Look at the Pansonic PV-GS31

edit LOL if I read your post I'd see you already had that EXACT model. Why don't you like it? That's a fairly new camera, and is a graet camera. The only thing I can see it lacking is the nightshot and a/v input. Sony will really be the only brand with a true nightshot. Look at the HC42.

I think it is a great camera but I do most of my filming at night and I really would like to have video input as well. I will check more into the hc42.
