So i got my Christmas gift early this year i got this

The headunit was $249.99 on sale at Best Buy
The Alpine iPod interface was $99.99
It came with free install on the headunit and $50 for the iPod interface
plus harness and kit fees and shit. Plus i got the $39.99 4 year warranty after tax and i had a couple of coupons i paid $453.something all installed. I am very pleased.

Whoa, that is a great gift! That very same head unit and ipod interface is sitting in my car, I'm sure you'll love it. It's actually my second of both the head unit and interface (the 1st pair were stolen ( ).

Awww sweetness, I wish I could put a CD deck in my car. Unfortunately my car has a huge place for the audio section (cassette player) and need to put in an extenstion for a CD deck to fit in there, which is a huge hassle (for me, for people that know what they're doing probably not) and expensive to install.

Have fun with that! Are you adding that to a system you already have? What kinda car too P?

Looks like a nice system. I don't have an Ipod, but the rest would interest me.....I have a wal-mart special pioneer headunit now,lol.....cost me...............$99.99

Same...I have the Pioneer, but also considered the Alpine (this was while I was still looking for the "right" deck). I heard the Alpine iPod interface is slow and unresponsive at times (

well the alpin systems are the best imo when it comes to car audio...the ipod interface takes forever if you dont have playlists already setup on your ipod it takes a while to find what you are looking for but overall its worth it i will let you know tomorow when i get it installed. i have 2000 honda accord 2dr ex with 2 12" subs in the back

well its installed and i must say its fucking amazing...only negative thing is browsing for music could be better but if you make playlists its all good

i have a kenwood head unit and speakers w/ sirius. also is a mbus to rca cable that i have my ipod nano hooked up to. in the back is a digital audio 2000w mono chan amp with a resonant engineering xxx 12" with all 2000w going to it. the rms wattage on the sub alone is 1600 and it can handle up to 2500 i think and weighs like 62lb. needless to say i put those idiots with jl audio w7's to shame.

btw, you got a good deal but the 99.99 ipod interface seems like a ripoff unless it charges while its hooked up. i havent looked into it that much.

yeah it does charge will its hooked up and its basically really good monster cables with it and you can control the ipod through the headunit

Alpine Head units are banging...i love them...JL W7 subs are great too )

you have to order RE subs direct from RE. www.reaudio.com

go on any car audio forum and you will hear that the RE's and brahma's are the best.

thats awesome, i was in walmart a few weeks back and they had this kinda off brand car stereo, but it had a usb on it for plugging like shuffles, and other mp3's in, and it also had like everyother type of port you could imagine for like 130 it was sick!!
