I really want to buy something nice, for around 500 dollars. I need to spend money on something nice before I waste it on little shit on eBay. I already have a 60gig ipod video.. don't really know what to buy! Any ideas?

I thought about it, but how good of a laptop are you going to get for $500 dollars? Also, with the laptop thought, even if I wait til Christmas and spend 1000 dollars I won't get anything amazing. Definately nothing with more than 3 hours of battery life, thin or big monitor or great stats. / i dono..

Yeah... You could justify it as a big discount I guess...
You could probably get some pretty nice stuff if you spend $500 on free sites.
If it were me though, I'd just save it.

Haha. I was considering a 360 as well, but decided if I want one of those, I'll want to buy it both from a store, for a fair price, and when they're in the new shipments, and not bugging up so badly.

But it only has a 40gig HD, I'm not sure of the battery life, and I'm not enrolled in college.

you can upgarde the hdd and the battery life is 5 hours if your not on wireless, 4 if you are, 3 if your completely stressing the system.

Why would you buy a core system when you could wait for more premiums and save 100 dollars plus the difference in buying the core for too much?
Say you spend 400 on a core system, which usually costs 300. The core is missing 200 dollars in upgrades. That means you lose 200 plus that 100, and end up needing to spend 600 dollars for the 400 dollar system., or 400 dollars for the 300 dollar system.
