I have Windows ME (the best my shitty computer can do) and therefor don't have the luxury of using the itunes programs for the ipod (thanks again Trainn). I downloaded Mediamonkey and a trial version of xplay and have followed the instructions to a 't' and nothing! It takes time to transfer and is reflected in the amount of info used on my ipod and is even displayed in Mediamonkey and xplay tagged to each track, but doesn't show up on my ipod. I read that files too large wouldn't show up (larger than 155 x 155 to be exact) so I got 150 x 150 and still nothing. Does format matter? Perhaps I am just screwed with Windows ME (if I remember correctly, you needed XP or 2000 to transfer album art in xplay... I can't remember)... could that really matter so much? Any help would be appreciated. Perhaps another program for Windows ME. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you need iTunes to add songs.

Also, I think you have to buy the song off of iTunes for album art.

couldn't there be something like it detects your artist + album or something and finds an album art fo ryou? that would be too sweet lol

you don;t have to buy the song to get album art, just drag the image into the album art box and bam. you can select a whole album and do it albums at a time.
akalicthey make programs like that, look on ipodlounge

Damn, I thought I didn't know a whole lot about ipods (no offense). You don't need itunes (requires XP or 2000). I have heard of three ipod music transfering softwares for Windows ME... I have all three (Mediamonkey - haven't had much luck with this one, Ephpod - haven't tried because I have to download a trial version of some other program to run it, and Xplay (trial version) - pretty sweet and extremely easy to use, just don't think I can transfer pictures with ME or video with it). I have already got a bunch of music on it (not even half of what I got), just no album art. It would be so cool if I could get the album art. The thing about itunes is that I can do EVERYTHING if I could use it, but my computer sucks like hardcore porn! I'm thinking about taking my ipod and itunes disc to my brother's house (he has XP) and doing everything I can't at home, but I could still use any suggestions. Thanks again.

Thanks a lot mrwzk, but DAMNIT, I tried installing Windows Media Player 9 last night and there was something wrong with my srvreg or something. i read to fix that, I would have to reinstall Windows or get a register repair... fuck all that. So I tried Winamp pro... downloaded... Where the hell is the ripping interface? All I see is the old Winamp player... nothing more. BAH!

I just use iTunes because it's the easiest, and never tried another way.

well i'll check out ipodlounge, its just i have billions of songs and i don't want to 'open' up each song in an album and get each album art. i want mass production!

I have 6 greens and 4 yellows (only one of which will probably green) on freedesktoppcs... it is my current freebie project. I want that Cyberxplorer or whatever it is... amd processor! That bitch would tansfer music and album art no problem. Thanks Turp for ipodlounge, I found a program that works with ME called Media Center (I am downloading it now) that is supposed to be able to transfer art and even VIDEO (something I had decided I wouldn't even get into with this damned computer), but I am still skeptical!
