well got my ipod today from freepay, and i removed the protective film, but the click wheel dosen't seem to be working? any ideas?

the wheel acts like a touchpad, you need to move your finger over the wheel without pressing hard to scroll.
I remember when i got my first ipod from freeipods (never used an ipod before) and I thought mine was broken too.

it's connected via usb, it's on. it's at the language selestion screen, but the no buttons work. nothing i press does anything.

you could try resetting it if those buttons are even working.."Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds."
