Has anyone heard this amazing new album? Very good finish to a steller year that saw him release 3 amazing albums.

The new album is really great too. It seems like he is back to the heartbreaker sound in full form now.

Ryan

though if you go to a Ryan Adams concert and tell for him to play "Summer of '69" he'll bitch and whine and call security to throw you out.

Yes thats a funny story. He is a singer-songwriter. Highly praised and trashed by critics, depending on what album you are talking about and what time they are talking about it.

He used to front whiskeytown.

all these songs are very sad, and like 9 minutes long piano songs.

I reccomend Cold Roses and Heartbreaker for new users. Each of his albums can be boiled down to a his current sound though

He sings the song at the beginning of Old School, To be Young.
Heartbreak - Lots of acoustic songs
Gold - Classic rock, neil young, rolling stones
Demolition is all over the place
Rocknroll - is like alternative rock
Loveishell is kinda drugged and just mellow
Cold Roses - The Grateful Dead, double album
Jacksonville City Nights - Very country, no fat on this album either
now 29 is like the end of that ryan adams trilogy this year its the sadest longest songs he has to release.

I've heard a little Ryan Adams but couldn't really get into it. His Wonderwall cover was class, though. It was so good that Noel Gallagher even covered his cover. That's something.

Yeah that was a good cover.

I've looked for Ryan Adamns on Usenet but couldn't find anything and I've been looking for his stuff for ages now.

I see a lot of ryan adams in the main groups (full_albums and complete_cds). How did you search?

I never listened to him because of hs name but maybe I'll give it a try.

I search in all categories on NewzBin and in NewsRover (my newsreader). On NewzBin I have 29 and Black Clouds available to me. I'll get both but I really wanted Gold and Heartbreak.

I haven't heard any of the new albums - I bought Rock and Roll part I and II and have migrated away since then. I think Demolition was one of the first albums on my iPod though.

I'll try to catch you on AIM tonight or tomorrow.
