The Go-To Guy

Every lunch I go around trying to sell things I have. I offer anything from reloadable credit cards, to cheap shoes, to nanos. I spend my entire lunch doing this kind of thing, as I don't generally eat lunch (braces and shit make it a nuisance to eat out of my home).

Actually, it isn't that big a deal, but it's nice to actually have a reputation in school, and more importantly a reputation that makes me money.

i was the same way back in high school. people would call me for bootleg dvds, cds, and for a short amount of time weed.

I use to be a op in a VCD IRC channel, and we had a lot of VCD dumps with porn and movies. SVCD and the VCD scene has died and has migrated to the DVD scene, which is basically the same thing. Oh yeah VCD and SVCD is just info that can be played on older DVD players (players you got 3 years ago when I was a freshmen) you burn the info to a reg CD. SVCD uses mpeg-2 with near DVD bitrates so it looks almost like a DVD but takes more cds, 3 CDs for a SVCD is about the standard. And that is a ton cheaper (or use to be) then a DVD.

Ive never considered selling stuff like illegal copies; not because im afriad of punishment but i just think thats stupid. Countless people have come up to me at bus stations and they're like

Selling shit in school is awesome. All through sophomore year in high school I sold bootleg CDs for $5 each or two for $8 (I'd tell them it was a special deal wink). Things were good then because not many people I knew had CD burners or broadband internet access so I was the only one doing it. I even remember selling those Creepy Crawlers in 5th grade until I got caught dealing while a movie was playing. I handled that shit like Lando Calrissian.

i used to have axx to topsites but i got out of the scene about a year ago. i used to r00t xdcc bots (i know i am a script kiddie. someone is going to say it soon enough in this thread). now i just stick to usenet. i can get pretty much anything except all the porn rls's.

I would just hang out and chill in the distro channel, and did very little actual behind the secenes work, public relations for noobs, and some FXP'ng between the limited FTPs I had access too. But noone wanted to root there own xdcc bots because of the risk envolved that they would try to recruit noobs to run the programs and report back, so they got in trouble. Noone I ever knew ever got into trouble though so it was a waste of precaution.

Usenet is a lot easier and better since I just like DVD-isos now and the occasional DVD screener.

thats insane. the reason i got usenet is because of dvdrs. they are all i download. that and hd files. lotr fellowship and lotr two towers in hd at 1080i ended up being around 50gb. when i get my hdtv next month i will have to cart my pc to my room until blu-ray comes out in the spring.

Yup same here, I hook my friends up with some stuff. Used to sell some programs to this kid and for tomorrow I have to burn Harry Potter 4, Photoshop CS2, and a Bright Eyes Album for some guys.

another reason is i can dl at 1 mbit per sec on usenet so i get all my shit asap )

thats it? i know people at usc that get much much much higher than that. sbc caps me at 300Kb/s though (

they use a nice connection im using a home 15 mbit/2 mbit connection which on average triples most people in america.

and my usenet provider caps me at 1 mbit per sec unlimited usage

You should switch to newshosting, they dont cap and get 30days+ retention at 15$ a month. PM me for a ref link D.

I also have SBC and I am also capped at 300kB/s (.

i use usenetserver but i do have a newshosting account )

My friends come to me to find all the good deals since I seem to have a nack of finding them...They also come to me for travel related stuff sadly I dont have it in me to charge my friends for the help I give them..
