Circuit City Laptop

My bestfriend works at Circuit City and he told me that they have 10 Tashiba Laptops for Black Friday they're selling for $200. My buddy is a retard when it comes to computers all he knew was it was black, a Toshiba, and had a 15" Screen. Needless to say I guess at 4am a manager comes out and gives slips for anything people want reserving and the latest they can come in and get it is 930am and they are promised whatever is on the slip. Atleast that's what my buddy says. We're gonna stand outside starting at 2am. I guess last year a guy started at 10pm the previous night.

1000 PM, the previous day, damn that guy was desperate,lol, what did he recieve?

i have no idea, but my buddy said that the sales they have in the mornings usually only last for like 15 minutes and the stuff they have for sale they loose money on.

Yeah truly amazing what they can give for such a low price.

If they dont profit on 20 laptops, but in turn bring in 100 people who each buy only something as trivial as 1 CD, than they made more than enough money to make that move. Now imagine more than 100 come, and they buy more than 1 CD say their entire electionics christmas list.

The laptop hes talking about is a Toshiba L25-S1193 Laptop selling for $449 only on early bird special.

I guess in some stores they have in store specials. He said there is only 9 or 10 of them

Trainn's Alan runs a website dedicated to finding and posting the ad copy of these deals months in advance. There are very particular reasons why someone would want to know what's going to be on sale that day as far in advance as possible.

Exactly. A lot of people are getting their hopes up and they don't realize there are catches involved. Go to the "deals" thread, I posted a link in there to a Black Friday forum that explains all of the details for the potential sales.

You need to pay $200 + $250 = $450 if you didnt sign up for AOL.

All rebates except for staples rebates suck ass. you gotta wait like 12 weeks for the rebate to come and hope you dont get scammed.
Ive not seen anything impressive in the black friday ads except cheap HDs (i already have a 160gb HD so even a 20$ 200gb hd isnt too great)
and routers. I need a new router so i'll ge getting the netgear super 108mbps router +notbook card for 30$ i will then sell the notebook card for 30$ and get my money back D

Well, if those are the circumstances, then I believe that I won't be getting the router or printer.

Indeed. I've had to resubmit, and it looks like I'll have to again. (my last CompUSA 'bate hasn't come yet evil ) I wish EVERYONE did the instant online 'bates, but the reasons for why they haven't are obvious. I'm actually stunned that Staples is still doing it.
