My dog got shot with a beebee gun

I'm sure it was my neighbor who shot him. He's this crazy guy who lives by himself. He's been in a fist fight with his other neighbor and threatened to shoot my dog before. Anyway, we've fonud a couple weird soars on my dog over the past couple months. We didn't know what it was. About a week ago I found a beebee hole in my basement window and the beebee still between the panes. It could've only come from his house. Tonight a beebee surfaced from a bump he's had for awhile. We're gunna go to the vet tomorrow to get it taken all the way out ( and for proof it was there). So how much trouble do you think we could get this guy in? Or if we could even prove it.

Confront him... just go over there and put some fear in him..

I'd say the fact that beebee pellets are surfacing from your dogs skin, and are stuck in your window, is evidence that someone is doing it. If you can find out when he is doing it, you could maybe tape him and use that as evidence, or get the cops to get search warrant and ransack his place for a beebee gun wink

The same thing is happening with my girlfriend's neighbor, except he's threatening to shoot their dogs with an actual gun. The REALLY disturbing thing is that we think he murdered his OWN dog. A few months ago he got a boxer puppy for his son and then proceeded to beat and choke it whenever he could. After he did that for a few weeks he took the dog into his garage, from which it never returned. They were going to call someone but a police officer they know said it would be hard to get him on anything if there was no proof. Since he's doing it to your dog I'd definitely go to the police or ASPCA. I'm sure the most they could do is give him a fine but at least that may get him to stop.

Get camera, get friend. Have friend had with camera and record you going to the persons house and asking if they did it. Stay calm the entire time, don't make threats of violence. Hopefully he does something stupid. Taunt him, but in a smart way. If he says prove it dumbshit. Be like..."I'm a dumbshit? liand laughli" he'll probably get pissed if you do it enough. Hopefully he'll punch you, knock you out cause some damage. If you're lucky he'll stab and/or shoot you

I wish I had a good way of filming him. I have a camera, but no way to do long term filming.

The only shit thing about filming him is the fact that not only do you have to "let" your dog get shot again but you have to watch it. (

give your dog a small voltage shock collar
stick him outside and shock him alot..
he will bark.. neighbor will shoot..

btw the taping at his front door is stupid.. ur on his property.. all he has to do is say leave.. then he has a right to kick ur ass

Yea, that might be a problem. Just set the camera in your back yard, (im guessing thats where he's shooting your dog). Even if you dont get a good video, then you might be able to hear the gun go off or even your dog whining.

But I guess that still wouldnt be good enough to say hes doing it if you cant get any video. I say you just go next door and ask him about it, but dont act like your suspecting him just say something like, "hey, somebody has been shooting my dog with a beebee gun, if you see anyone doing this can you tell me, it would be highly appreaciated, thanks.

What a douche...I'd contact the ASPCA before you go to the cops, they'll actually care. The thing is bb guns have very limited range, so it wouldn't too difficult to prove where they were coming from. I'm usually one for intelligent retaliation (don't let him know you know, don't let him know its you...but get him back)...but if thats not your style, contact the ASPCA.

The best way to get him back is to get the fucker prosecuted.

You'll say 'he swung first and he shot my dog,' they'll say to him, 'sir, you shouldn't have hit him on his own property,' and likely leave the choice up to you guys to let bigons be bigons... then again, who knows?...

I believe under federal law, killing a dog gets you a federal felony with a mandatory minimum of 5 years if convicted (or maybe its just my state).

well, if the dogs are annoying and bark all night when i try to sleep i would do something. this one dog would always pop its head under the hole of the backyard fence and start barking at us while we were playing in the backyard or bbq'ing so one day my dad got my supersoaker and filled it with tabasco and water and shot the dog in the face with it when it started barking. dog never did it again. but a bb gun is too far.

Yes, I'd call them. They would probably talk to the guy. Cops wouldn't do much. I hate hearing stories like this, people abusing animals. It's disgusting. ( I hope your dog is okay after your vet visit.

I agree with everyone about calling the ASPCA. They would probably be able to advise of the best course(s) of action for your personal situation. As far as taping, it's a good idea but you know there can always be problems later if the guy says "He did not ask for my permission, etc". In some cases it may be inadmissable in court.

A protestor stands outside some angry politicians home (far enough to be on public property), wearing a sign that says some negative thing about the guy.
