I only watch bids so that I notice how the bids are going. Sometimes if you wait until the last minute, you can bid and win if it's at a price you like. It's better than bidding half way the auction, someone else bidding, and then you bidding again. It only raises the price.

Interesting fact the old french teacher at my school owned the bolle company. She didn't even realize how successful a company it was; she invested in it without knowing anything about it. Still doesn't really know much about it, but likes getting the free sunglasses. And, of course, she's rich.
