What Kind of Video card you Have?

Guys just wondering i am into gaming and just wonder what video cards you guys have if not lazy post the model D i got ati X800XL thinking of 7800GTX OC from BFG

7800 GTXs are good, but get the eVGA not the BFG. The eVGA preoced is the best GTX by far.

I have an eVGA 7800 GTX right now. Runs BF2 smooth as butter, of course. D I love this card to death. Barely heats up even when I'm playing for over 2 hours. I heard about ATI's new card that's supposed to be their answer to nVidia's 7 series, and it actually looks really good. Doesn't have nearly as many pixel pipelines as the 7800's and there are more extras than the Radeon X1800XT. Buuut, ATI priced the card $100 lower [if9b3c7dd7d]and[/if9b3c7dd7d] it's core clock is a lot faster than the latest nVidia card.

Basically GeForce 7800 GTX = Best quality gaming (and CAD?) graphics card on the market;
Radeon X1800XT = Fastest FPS you'll find on the market.

The exact models are the 512MB VRAM models. They each take up two PCI-E slots with this much memory on board, so it would be a wiser investment to get the step down of either card (256MB VRAM). That's what I did. )

either way the 7800gtx is better.

512 doesn't matter. And I am pretty sure it is a lifetime warranty. BFG is a bull shit noob company, like boise. They just oc it a little bit and sell it for way higher then it should be sold for.

BFG is a pretty shitty company, I agree. But 512 definitely does matter. Twice as much VRAM as the standard 256 on most of the 6 series will boost FPS a lot and allow for setting (for lack of a better word P) higher graphics settings on games.

Actually it doesn't. At all. Infact the reviews shows it drops by a litinyli degree.

It can still run all the new games, and you can do a lot of stuff to it. Like flash it to a XT I believe if you have the right one. It is still a fairly good card. But thoose FX series cards that was the competitior to the 9xxx series blow. Like compfreaks ;).

I really like mine, fast enough for games i play. I have no need to upgrade. My other graphics card is a 200M Ati (Laptop) -P

They underclocked the 512 in those benchmarks. Playing games with the 512 card with normal clock speeds would probably show an increase in the FPS in those benchmarks. But in the nVidia's case I'll agree that 512 doesn't matter because they overpriced it by [i0369c4b258]a lot[/i0369c4b258] for a 10%~ increase in performance.

but cant you just upgrade it like if i buy bfg 6600GT OC from BFG 256mb can i e-mail company ask for an upgrade to 512mb?

No... they won't upgrade memory for just any card. Currently the only 512 cards by nVidia are the 6800 Ultra and the 7800 GTX.

I am fairly certain that my computer contains a Nvidia graphics card; however, I'm not at all sure of the particular model number of the card.

i have a 6800gt and will probably go sli when needed. nfs most wanted looks pretty good and i can run hl2 at max everything.

They might, but I doubt it. They'd rather get another $700 from you for a new card than $100 for adding another 256MB of VRAM. wink

They underclocked it to the 256mb version. The new 512mb version features enhanced clock rates better then the old 256mb. So they dropped it to what the 256mb version clocks are and tested. And they found out it makes no differance. Just like all the other 512vs256mb tests that they and others have done.

Well.....I had a nice Nvidia Geforce 7000 or something, which put out 128mb. I needed it for a game called "Guild Wars" and I ended up buying it and having it installed by CompUSA and then while I was on vacation in August, my house was hit by lightening and my comp was fried. Does anyone know of any sites that offer Free Vid Cards?

I don't think it's a 7000.. since there is no GeForce 7000. Maybe a 6800? Guild Wars is a great game though. I play it for about an hour every day because PvP is the only part that makes it great.
