My brother came to me today saying he just signed up to start stuffing envelopes for a company. Paying him $2.00 an envelope and he has to pay a $50.00 one time membership fee that covers stamps, envelope, and address tags. Anyone ever gotten into something like this before? Sounds kinda shady.

yeah, itsa scam.

TI makes no sense paying someone $2 an envelope when one of these can be bought and paid for extremely quick... http//www.secapusa.com/product_si1000.htm

Yeah, if they were legit, why would they make him pay $50?

Haha, this is one of the original pyramid schemes. Pre-internet, can you believe it?

Anyway your friend, if he's so lucky, will get the supplies. The supplies? More supplies. He will be stuffing envelopes with the same scam material that he's receiving, to send out to more poor victims like himself.

I, uh... I mean... a guy I know was going to do this. I... this guy payed something like $30 bucks for the start up package and to make a long story short (I can't remember the details and would rather not try... it was so long ago) it was a complete scam. You basically are expected to post messages in papers and message boards telling people to send you money to learn how to make x amount of money in so much time... if they did, you mailed them a photo copied (which you were to copy seeing as how they only provided you with one sheet) flier for some crap... I can't even remember what it was for. So everytime someone was interested in your ad, they sent you a couple of bucks and you sent them a flier... complete bullshit...

Do you guys pull people over for going 5 over? Or do you let them go? I know you [iacb69bbb6c]can[/iacb69bbb6c]but I have heard mix thoughts on whether or not it happens.

When I see police, it's an automatic brake. I brake whether I'm going the speed limit or not. It's just automatic for me to do that when I see a police man.

As for getting pulled over for going 5 over, it's very unlikely unless you're in a school zone.

I don't do many traffic stops but 9 or 10 is usually the grace limit. I do know cops that will pull people over for doing 3 over. It all depends the mood and the policy of the department.

I drive 9 over on interstate, and have never been bothered, only been tickted for peeling out in my 1994 Mini Van 8) ... its a cool story, but not worth the $89.50 it costed me (

Well, you already paid the ticket, so you may as well share the story.
