Today the French government raised it's terror threat level from Run to Hide. This move means that only two higher levels exist for France to go raise to, Collaborate and Surrender.

The raise in the threat level came about due to the attack by rioters last night that caused the White Flag factory in Paris to be burnt to the ground. This is the sole provider of the white flags used by the French military and it's destruction has left the French military unable to function.

Oh okay, I'm glad you didn't lump an incredibly diverse group of people into one broad statement.

What about the Detroit riots after the police who brutalized Malice Green were acquitted? Not to mention all the peaceful demonstrations people participate in if they don't believe something? Are they lazy because it's not a violent revolution like what is going on in France?

America as a whole enjoys a much more comfortable lifestyle, and more rights, than the vast majority of the rest of the world. We have less to get upset about. When you have less to be upset about, it's harder to be pushed to the breaking point.

By the way, I'm not trying to defend ALL Americans, because there are a lot of lazy people in our country.. Just trying to make a point about generalizations ;)

i can go on and fight for something, but if i dont got support for what im doing, im never going to make it, and if everyone agree with me, but dont really do shit, never gon get done either. and is it that you lived in another country so you know these things? all that you know is what they america taught you? i mean i dont want my girl to think there is better then i, i makesure she "knows" that im best of all; intrepid that to this case.. now im not sayin that america is bad or anything, i love this country, but i dont like the people who run it... but speaking about freedoms, most western world have similar, and with patriot act we sure got most freedoms right?

not a good example because Detroit is simply a cesspool
but i agree with you

we don't really have much to need to "revolt" over

and the french are pussies. bottomline. the country is merely a novelty, a place where tourists can go to see paris once in their life. that's it. who wants to live in france with hairy arm pit women?

Not true! The actual city is a cesspool dotted with a few nice areas and fun things to do. Lions games (as much as they suck, the fan base is amazing.. Ford Field is a FUN place to be on Sunday), Wings games, Greektown.

Other than that, the suburbs are really nice.

"According to US Census Bureau figures released August 30, Detroit is now the poorest city in America, with fully one-third of its residents living below the official federal poverty level, a derisory $19,157 in household income for a family of four. Nearly one half of the city’s children, 47.8 percent, live below the poverty level."

Oh yeah, it's a night-and-day difference between the city and suburbs. I live near Livonia (Canton/Plymouth), and it is very nice and safe. The upper/middle class stay far away from the actual city of Detroit, except for sporting events and museums, pretty much. Those are policed very well (because they know that if they aren't, the rest of us won't spend our money in the city limits).

The US wouldn't been able to succeed in its revolution without France, and I think most would say that the Russians (and its Russian winter) contributed more to kicking Nazi asses. Not to discount the American sacrifice and all though...

The scorched earth policy has served the Russians well.
