Okay, so I have a high bidder on my iPod whos bidding over 160 dollars
YET
their feedback is 0, and they just joined Oct 16th.
This makes me feel really nervous, and I don't know what to do. Can I just remove their bid?

It doesn't really matter if they are a buyer and they have 0 feedback as long as they get you the paypal IMO.

high value small physically sized electronics in high demand are rife with npbs and scammers. i've had that sinking "this is a 50/50 shot" feeling when sending to a paypal unconfirmed buyer with 0 feedback too many times - i limit ipod/laptop auctions to buyers with > 0 feedback and paypal confirmed addresses.
although i've found that most legit people wont mind giving you their phone number. thats what i used to do - ask for a phone # (or look it up with ebay) and give them a call, asking why they're unconfirmed. the last guy i sold an expensive item to had just moved and the cc info wasn't up to date. the one before that had a confirmed address on his account but gave me the unconfirmed so i refunded and he repayed for it using the confirmed. so don't give up completely on 0 feedback bidders. it works out sometimes. hell, my only neutral is from some guy with 30 or so, because HE didn't check compatibility on a $15 laptop cdrom drive. the fuckass.

I would recommend never shipping to an unconfirmed address unless you've been paid in some sort of cash instrument and have the money in your hands (IE cash, or a money order / check that you have cashed).
Anyone can file a CC chargeback if they pay by Paypal, and for the most part they're going to win because their CC company will back them up. If you ship to an unconfirmed address, you're not covered by Paypal's BPP, and even if you've done everything else correct (signature, etc) you'll still lose any dispute.

i know, it was not a super smart move, but when you talk to the guy on the phone and explain how the scam works and he can't even believe it and he sounds like he's 50 years old you tend to feel reassured.
