Use gordion knot for avi/divx/xvid.

i never liked gordion knot. i just did things myself and used my own compression settings. the only tools i used were dvd2avi, vfapi converter, virtualdub, nandub, headac3, xvid codec, dvd decrypter, and a bitrate calculator. its pretty simple once you get used to the process.

thanks all with the responses.
i actually found a really good solution - nero recode. it does everything (especially for making videos for the ipod wink ).
