This basically shows that it will change in the future, and is very symbolic of the changing attitudes lie Hickenlooper wrote. I believe they will initiate the repeal of i-100 or something that nullifies sate illegalization of MJ.

Plus enforcability of a law is a key check in the check and balance system. And I believe that the Denver cops would not care, at least that is what I hope.

Its still illegal, state law supercedes city law. And the charge in the state is a slap on the wrist, 100$ and a petty offense not even a misdemeanor.

Dude you obviously have no idea what you are talking about 1 oz is a huge amount considering people usually buy 1/8 of an ounce and that will let you smoke a ton of bowls and get hi many times and its a huge deal because it shows the changing mind set of the people

The ordience changes nothing, you cant just vote and overturn state laws that easily.

However like some of ya'll said, it opens the door for future changes.

and 1 oz is plenty of weed, no one needs 1 oz of weed at any one moment.

Its clearly evident that the majority of U.S. citizens believe marijuana should be legalized (or decriminalized).. Something like 70% believes in marijuana reform.

Currently there are 11 states in the U.S. with medical marijuana laws enacted.. that says something.. Wisconsin is predicted to be the 12th state since a fellow republican has endorsed a med mj bill in Wisconsin, and everyone is pretty much nodding their heads in WI..

The laws will change.. slowly.. Federal Legalization? probably not likely to happen any time soon.. but State Legalization is promising (Alaska is currently the only state with legalization [as long as its on private property])
