Just found a new freebie site!!

its.. http//refer4gifts.com[]http//refer4gifts.com

its all casino/bingo offers, but the referral requirements are LOW!

i read the news post on there, and it seems that the guy who made the site has been burned by freebie sites in the past, and made this one on the premise that if he is making money, than you should too...

i guess we can expect to never get random DQs on that site (OC OC OC)

i wasn't sure where to post this... mods, have your way with it

Hey guys I was reading your posts and figured I would drop you a line, I started http//refer4gifts.com yesterday, I have plenty of capitol to pay the first $2,000 worth of gifts out, before I get one check from my affiliate companies. This site will run very smoothly, if my affiliate thinks you are a unique user, I think you are a unique user, no questions asked. The last site I completed had a lot of freegear and I am sure it was the best, but when 6 of your refs get DQed does it really matter how low the refs are for the gifts? I will also be in constant communication through support tickets, my email is also posted on every page of my site, emails will be responded to within hours of recieving. So let this be a challenge to anyone has been screwed over before. -Refer4Gifts

There are barely any offers on this site...
Any chance of more offers being added?

Refer4Gifts

01-11-2005 13:02:24

There will be more offers as time goes on, and more offers are brought to my attention. The offers there now are ones that enable me to offer gifts at such low referrals. Speaking from experience when I completed the site with casino offers I did one on my own and recommended that to all my referrals. The casino was Golden Palace and they paid out over $3000 to my refs. I got 12 refs for this casino because of the nice interface and customer support. I know many users would like to see pages of offers and I will do my best to keep those updates.

I feel as though if you are not familiar with all things internet you won't make a good site owner.

If you don't know that the forum mods can check your ip to see if you're the same person then there's a problem. Even I know things that most of these people who try to open sites don't know. It's a wonder why I don't have a site.

Refer4Gifts

01-11-2005 19:07:37

Me and TheyCallMePost live in the same apartment complex, we are neighbors, I told him since he was a member of this site that he should go ahead and announce it here? Is that a problem? I didnt think so. When I saw the posts on here, I signed up to put in my thoughts. I would like to offer someone a free green, under no referral link, so I can send out some gifts ASAP. Just let it be a test, if it doesnt go completly smooth my site will be trashed on most forums. And who would put in the time and money to scam only 3 or 4 referrals? PM me and let me know if your up for the challenge.

Retro

01-11-2005 19:10:32

okay, so back to my original question

and why didn't you just announce the site yourself. there's nothing wrong with that.

Refer4Gifts

01-11-2005 19:12:49

Doylnea, I have a little over $2,000 to start off the first gifts before any outside money comes in. Sorry for the mispelling. And Retro its fine that you monitor my posts the second after I posted it but I rewrote it how I wanted is that ok with you? Thanks

Refer4Gifts

Sorry hun, there's the nifty feature that emails me when a new reply is posted. So I responded since I obviously saw your post. And normal people just edit their post not delete it. Sorry I have a fast internet connection.

You also didn't answer my first question which was does everyone in your complex share the same internet connection?

Refer4Gifts

01-11-2005 19:22:51

It just sounded like I was trying to hide something. Yes my entire complex has the exact same IP address. My apartment is Alafaya Club in Orlando, Florida. I dont think this is normal, but I really dont have much choice.

Reread this whole thread and if you're half intelligent you'll realize his story doesn't hold up at all.

whatisntseen

01-11-2005 19:27:28

You know, the whole shared IP thing oculdve probably been your problem with the random DQs..... if someone anywhere in the apartment building decided to click a free ipod link one day and sign up.... jsut for the hell of it.... maybe they picked that up and dq'ed both accoutns regardless of the fact that the other wasnt in use..... it wouldve been worse if the other was in use... still, I think that was probably your main problem.

Refer4Gifts

01-11-2005 19:28:43

WOW. You guys make it impossible to start a site. I thought people would like a site run by a freebie user. I have already said and I will again, I will give a free green, under no referral, if anyone will test out my site and post back here. I will send paypal or a gift ASAP.

Refer4Gifts

01-11-2005 19:32:07

Whatisntseen, yes that was what happened, but I was unaware that we shared the same ips, but what got to me was the casinos recognized my referrals as unique users and the site I was getting refs for made over $600 of my refs, I found that a little unfair.

hey guys, wow my neighbor just linked me back to the thread...

for some reason, everyone in our apartment complex appears to have the same external ip

last year, our apartment complex provided the option to have internet at an additional cost, and then every connection had a somewhat unique ip

this year, the complex decided to include internet access with the rent (raised it of course) and now everyone shows up as the same ip to rest of the world..

i assume that in our complex lobby there is a switch that is linked to VBNet, the provider (http//www.vbnet.net)

as someone said, this is the reason that my neighbor experienced the DQs on the site he completed

if anyone wants to verify that he and i are not the same person, ill do my best

You guys can't see that this guy is friggen sheisty? Reread the first page of the thread. Hell, read the first post! It's funny how these "2 guys" (read 1 moron) don't know each other until it's pointed out that they have the same IP. Suddenly they're neighbors. Even if they ARE 2 different people, it's still sheisty that they're trying to hide that fact in the beginning.

You don't start a business by lying to your potential customers.

This kid is also way too eager to "prove" himself legit. As if sending out the first 5 gifts proves that it's not a scam. If anything, his eagerness makes him even more suspicious in my eyes. Once people believe his site is legit a lot more people will sign up. Prime time to run off with the money.

I'm not saying with certainty that this guy is a scammer. I'm just saying I wouldn't personally invest any time or money on this kid, aside from the 2 minutes I sent signing up to his site to prove he wouldn't make good on his word (offer completion + 1 green). He's simply not capable of running a business.

Hey kev I know your probably really cool in the freeipod world but posting he is "shiesty" in this thread is getting old, Why are you out to convince people I am going to scam them because a neighbor announced my site. Go look at Anything4free.com, someone else announced it there, he doesnt live by me but I still know him. Your making it hard to start a site, and I dont see why. Sorry you were confused about the challenge I put up, but I couldnt just give you two free greens and ship out a gift without you doing anything, I want to prove I am legit but come on. And saying "oh he is just gonna send out the first 5 gifts and then run"? I want this site to run for as long as it can, and I didnt put the time and money into it just to scam some people. How much would I stand to make...maybe $1,000 before poeple started catching on, scam sites get torn up within days on forums like these. So give me a little break, and if anyone EVER gets scammed you can be the first to put it in your blog and all over this thread, but until then cut me some slack.

bballp6699

02-11-2005 09:37:01

Only thing worse then pretending you're not the site owner, is pretending that your neighbor has the same IP address as you and that he was so eager to release your site...

you guys really jump to conclusions quickly, i guess i shouldnt have avoided that i know the site owner

im sure one (or all) of you will twist this one too... i am only eager to prove my identity so that i can still be taken seriously for trades... id hate to throw away my 8 TR

No I don't think I'm cool in the freeipod world. If I were I'd honestly be sad about that fact, sit down, and reflect on how pitiful my life is. On that note, I also do not run any blogs. I'm just here to get some free crap.

I'm giving you a hard time because you're being... oh you know what I'm gonna say... cmon, say it with me... sheisty! )

If you had just come in here and been straight forward I wouldn't have any reason to give you a hard time. Instead, you try to deceive everyone with this whole "neighbor" act. And to Personality #2 over there trying to take the blame, I'm afraid the blame must be split (no pun intended ;)) between both your personalities. Both personalities put on an act not to know each other until it was pointed out that they have the same IP.

Bah, why am I arguing with 2 different personalities of a single entity? Bottom line is, you are being deceitful and that's no way to try to run any type of business. Good luck in your endeavors. I'm out.

Most of us that have been doing this for a while have been scammed one way or another by a site. We have seen many sites come in here and appear great and then run with the money. I think it is fair for us to be suspious of any new network.

I agree people should be suspicious about any new site. And I realize that a scammer would sound honest to begin with, but just because a scammer would sound honest you cant think all honest people could be scammers, I just dont like to see a new site being held down when I am trying my best to make it legitimate and profitable for everyone. Refer4Gifts I think your best option for not being labeled a scammer or "shiesty" is to just put an announcement out there, credit fairly, send out gifts, and realize that people are going to be skeptical regardless of if your neighbor is giving you a plug or not. It would appear that your responses in this thread aren't really helping you plead your case out, so I would just stay out of the way.

And yes, until further notice, I think it's fair to say that everything you say is under the proverbial microscope. Don't take it personal. We don't discriminate, we're just looking out for our own.

good luck,

Posts like this make me not want to touch your site. Under no circumstances should you be rude to potential customers.
