I'm in. Let's fuck him up.
I've been considering starting a forum that deals with scamming scammers. People who were scammed would post their situation and all the information they know about the scammer, and all the other members would try and help whoever got scammed out by working cooperately. A post like this would be typical on my forum, hopefully.
The philosophy behind it being that by calling out a scammer, he really don't lose anything. The internet isn't a safe place to be right now and I plan to clean up its streets. Thoughts?

It wont work for my situation. The main part of the ppp powerbook scam
was to make a guy pay an insane customs fee for someone of no value.
I cant make this guy pay any custom fee because he lives in alabama

Scamming the scammer is not for amateurs like you all. Leave that to the big guys on the forums dedicated to that stuff.
I don't know why scammers try that crap but they do get away with it because some people aren't as smart.
My dad is Nigerian and he was in town for a convention with other Nigerians. I couldn't help but wonder if any of them were scammers. None of them seemed slimy enough to do stuff like that though.

The p-p-p powerbook guy never received any money. If you try and withdraw funds he sent to you through paypal and actually get it cleared before he can file a claim to reverse payment, and he ends up getting some 2 dollar piece of shit, indeed you would be putting yourself in a real bad situation.

This is actually an old scam using paypal, but still being used.
They are beating paypal by there own Tos. This is how it works
He pays you the money via paypal with a credit card, you send item he calls CC company and has money reversed. So even if you pull out the money he gets his money back via CC company plus the computer.
If you didnt ship the item but instead a ppp powerbook, then he contacts authorities and you go to jail and he still files chargeback.
So either way he doesnt lose anything but a paypal account which are a dime a dozen.

I'm in somewhat of a similar situation
A few days ago I found an eBay auction for a Nikon Digital Rebel XT. The seller had 400+ feedback and the auction was for pre-approved bidders only. I emailed the address listed in the auction and asked to be placed on the bidding list. A few minutes later I bid $450 with 20 minutes left and ended up winning the auction. I know, WAY too good to be true.
Before I took action, I decided I'd wait for an email from the seller; instead, I got an email to my old address (the one associated with my account) from eBay saying that the seller's account had been compromised and used by somebody else without permission. The idiot still replied to my email from my new address (the one I spoke to him through) saying that he still had the item and would be willing to sell it to me. I decided to play along and ask a price. He tells me $500 plus shipping and adds this
"Please reply with full name and address. I've accepted your offer becouse i have it at the shipping company and i had to find a buyer fast. So i am waiting for your details and i will make the shipping. You will have to send the money to the shipping company trough wire trasnfer and after the founds are confirmed they will make the exchange."
Should I just let it go? I want to have some fun with this guy but I feel it's probably pointless.
