For those who are computer-technology savvy, what would be the size in Mb or Gb of aa regular movie, once you transfer it onto your iPod video?? Say, a 2hr long one, o so??

About 8 gigabytes, uncompressed. Maybe 4 with a decent level of compression.

For an ipod though, like 1gb because you can rape the quality on the small screen.

4 gigabytes for a movie??? What kind of movies do you download, most DivX vids are like 700-800 mb. Maybe 4 gigs for a complete dvd of like, Lord of the Rings or some shit.

why are you going to transfer a dvd (with menues and extras) to an ipod? iPods arent portable DVD players, it can only play video (no menues or extras.).

I asked because... http//www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/guides.html[]http//www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/guides.html

so apparently you can... but it doesn't say what's the final file size to go into the iPod...

I skimmed that guide, and it looks like you just rip the video portion, not any of the extras or menus. Im pretty sure you can just download the DivX version, convert it using one of the many guides, and it will be well under 700mb becasue of the small size. iPods dont have any dvd player softare, all you can do is play movies from the menu.

most downloaded movies are from (ok quality - telesync) 600MB to 2GB (high quality - dvdrip)
via bit torrent..

torrents suck, and your information is flawed, I can show you a telesync that looks shitty and has a huge filesize, and a dvdrip that looks great that has a small filesize.
