Anyone play the 360 at Walmart or Target yet?

Looks like they have been popping up all over. Too bad I don't have a Walmart here and my Target lags.

i heard that WalMart was temporarily unplugging theirs because they were interfering with their WiFi network. I'll have to check my 2 targets this weekend and brave the white and black trash WalMarts.

one of the marketing ladies at microsoft is a patient at my moms dental office. she opened her trunk and showed my mom 10 premium boxes. my mom told her i had it preordered and the lady said that it would most likely sell for double during christmas season. they are intentionally not making a lot to drive the demand it up and make it hard to find, from what the lady told my mom. the lady is going to give the cardboard displays, posters, and all that marketing shit to my mom once it and dies down a bit.

If I were to auction it, you think it would be smarter to time the auction to end on or before launch day, or closer to Christmas?

I would suggest making an auction right before christmas. there are plenty of parents that give hoards of cash in order for their son or daughter (or, however unlikely, themselves) to have one as a surprise.

yup. i plan on starting my auction on the dec. 16th (3 day) and offer free overnight shipping so tha the people can have it in case they go out of town or something.

That was my first impulse too, but I see two risks

1) If the supply shortage was exaggerated and a second shipment in early December makes it much easier to get a 360, the going rate for a 360 on eBay will go down significantly.
2) Launch-day demand will have decreased, which may also decrease the price.

Given that auctions are going for $1,000+ right now, I'm almost tempted to take the money and run and get while the gettin's good.

hm. interesting but i i see your point. i think i will go with that and will start the auction the day the thing is actually in my hand.

I hear that. I want to play it, but not so much that I would give up $600 in pure profits. I can definitely wait a few months.

For what it's worth, I bet you'll get yours from Freepay pretty quickly...

that's ingenious, really considering doing that, definitely make 1.5X (AT LEAST) the price of the system, i mean if a platinum bundle (from scarface) sold for $300 more than it costs now, i mean seriously look at what you can make holiday season
