For some reason I saw this coming the day he said he was starting his own freebie sites but it did take a while. Sorry to everyone that will be getting screwed because of this.

"Dear Members,
We’re very sorry to inform you due to unfortunate circumstances we are financially unable to send everybody their entire gift. This is due to overwhelming amounts of fraud and failure of the “Free Site” system (too many “dedicated” users completing the requirements, which leaves us in debt, then not many users that choose to not complete our site which is where we break even from, which I believe is due to a lack of interest in our sites). There was also an increase in fraud with our newest site and lots of offers had the commission taken away. There is nothing we can do about this. We also had a capital for when our newest site launched, although due to more unfortunate circumstances we are no longer in possession of this sum of money.
Some orders have been fulfilled, depending on the order date.
We have never even dreamt of this happening, research and conversations with other incentive site owners led us to believe that there is a very slim chance of having the system fail. We had many more sites planned, and as you noticed we had a new layout designed for our site, and all future sites and we are very disappointed that this has had to lead to our network closure.
To compensate our members that have ordered, we will send you $15 via PayPal for every completed referral you have, plus for your own offer. You will still go through the verification process and disqualified users will not be given credit for.
Ex. If you have eight referrals, your own offer and one disqualified referral, you would take $15 x 9 - $15 and would end up with $120.
To qualify for this compensation please send us an email= at email=Compensations@BlazeFreeNetwork.comCompensations@BlazeFreeNetwork.com at email=Compensations@BlazeFreeNetwork.comCompensations@BlazeFreeNetwork.com/email with the following information
Username
Account Email
Order Number
Which site you ordered at
Amount of referrals
PayPal Email
This compensation ends on Nov. 1/ 2005. Compensations will be sent out on or before Nov. 1 / 2005.
Sorry Again,
BFN Administrator"

Took long enough after conveniently going to Europe only days after launching freenotebookgear.com, then also conveniently being robbed, then conveniently disappearing for weeks with nobody knowing what happened to him.
Sucks for the guys who had 20-something refs on the site.

More than likely he started the sites knowing he'd close down in this fashion. Just because he says he'll compensate doesn't mean he will...Coobro anyone?

If only to be a little argumentative (because it's past my bedtime)I tend to think that Coobro started legit (with the best of intentions) and then realized they couldn't keep up with Pro Free-Siters, like us, and then had to close. There's no doubt in my mind that they never intended to pay out after they shut down - they'd already lost money, or barely broken even.

I didn't intend to imply they were a scam from the start, I meant to say just what you did...they never intended to pay out after they shut down. The phone number in their WHOIS is some girl Jen's cell phone (an ex-girlfriend of one of the Coobro brothers?). Whats interesting, though, is they've closed down all pages on their sites EXCEPT for ../orderstatus.aspx shock

Though it was strange that they said partial checks would ship about a week after the notice and were then never to be seen or heard from again.
My guess is they filed bankruptcy, or still are, and waiting for that to go through. Might be why they have left the status pages up to help keep track of their "losses" and debts. But who knows. When they posted saying they would be sending out partial payments I actually believed them (.

You obviously have no idea how a database frontend works.
[quote9b3cad5755="xXHasek99"]how do you lose money if you don't send out gifts?!?[/quote9b3cad5755]
Easy. Affiliates see a bunch of fraud from you and disable your account, holding a month or two's worth of (mostly valid) completions. If you're lucky you'll get it back, but it wont be for many months.
As an example, we had someone at FusionCash complete a bunch of offers fraudulently using multiple accounts. We disabled him, implemented proxy blockers and compiled a list of the offers he did and alerted all the offer providers about the fraud and apologized. As I see it, we did everything in our power to maintain a healthy relationship with the advertiser. One of them from CommissionJunction decided to end their relationship with us stating fraud as the reason. This set off an automatic payment block on CJ's end which caused our entire August earnings to be deferred a full month.
My point is, there's a lot of people who think they know how shit works who have no idea at all. I'd suggest keeping quiet with regards to things you know nothing about.

[/quote36682f8d4a]nope lol. I was just going by what FON posted ("Whats interesting, though, is they've closed down all pages on their sites EXCEPT for ../orderstatus.aspx") and trying to figure out why only those pages are still alive ;)
