Well at least I can upload pretty well...

your ISP might offer a better package that will cost more money. with my isp you can either have 5/2, 15/2, or something like 30/5. You might want to call them up and upgrade your package.

I'm supposed to have 15/5 (great up speed) but its usually about 13 down and 4 up. I couldn't care less though, I couldn't come close to using anywhere near the capability allocated.

what ISP do you have?

Comcast offers Tiered T1 to businesses, and thats what we use at my dads house. Its not really Comcast, persay, becuase they rent the bandwidth from a fibre optic provider.

That speakeasy test looks sketchy to me. Seems like the speeds are capped at just under 6mbit/3mbit so that you'll be enticed to switch to their 6mbit dsl S

Yeah.. you have a point. I took that test a second time and the download speed wouldn't go above 2mbit.

This is from wolfman's test. My ISP is comcast and their advertised speed
is 6000/384 so this test isnt too far off. Although Comcast has been increasing their Downstream speeds alot, they are very reluctant to increase upload speeds. I think they are afraid of people starting up
their own servers and whoring up bandwidth......
isnt it funny how so many ISPS have anti bandwidth abuse policies but wont specifically say what constitutes as bandidth abuse P
